DARE graduation

This is Shelby at her DARE graduation. I cannot believe I have a child old enough to graduate from DARE. Miss Utah 2007 came and visited with the students about saying no to drugs. Her story had me in tears. I am grateful for brothers and sisters who had the ability to say no to drugs. Her brother did not and ended up dead from a cocaine overdose at a young age. She let the kids wear her crown also (shown below)

Derrek's beautiful Grandmother passed away last night. She went very peacefully with a lot of family close by. She lived on her own and basically took care of herself until she had a stroke on Monday night. She lived a long life and was able to have one of her best days in a long time with her daughter just a few hours before the stroke. Heavenly Father allows many tender mercies. I have learned a lot from her and will miss her.
