Rachel is 5

Wow I cannot believe my baby girl is 5 years old.  She is such a wonderful slice of sunshine in our lives.  We have babied her for so long it is great to see her take some responsibility to do things for herself.  I cannot believe she goes to Kindergarten this next fall.  Time marches on so quickly.  I hope she always can dance like no one is watching.  Her light and happiness has lifted me every day of her life.  She was the balm to a broken heart when she was born and continues to add balm and peace to my soul. 

Rachel has asked for only 1 thing.  She wants to have a party at our house with her cousins and family.  Well last night that is what we did.  We had the Andrus family over and on Sunday we are celebrating with the Williams family.  I thought for sure she would want other presents so of course I bought them.  Well she was not at all interested in opening presents, eating her cake or any other "normal" birthday items.  She just wanted to play.  So we have a pile of presents sitting on the table that haven't been opened.     Silly little girl.  Love her dearly.  People are definitely more important than things to her.
